This page says what HeardOf (“we”) collects, why, who handles it for us and how to have it deleted. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
The waitlist. Your email, website, company and role, plus which part of the page you signed up from. We use them to decide who to invite next and to email you when your slot opens. Your browser also remembers that you joined (your email and the date, in local storage on your device only) so the form shows you as already on the list.
The free crawler check. The website address you enter, the result and the time, with a one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself). The hash lets us limit checks to ten an hour per network. We read that site’s robots.txt and home page; no AI engine is asked anything.
Accounts. If you are invited, we store your email, your name if you give it and which client reports you can see. You sign in with a link we email you; there is no password.
Audits. For a client audit we store the website, brand and competitor names and the buyer questions we agree with you. We visit the public pages of your site, take screenshots and measure speed and accessibility. We send the buyer questions to AI providers and keep their answers. Screenshots may be reviewed by an AI model for usability issues, and page addresses may be sent to Google’s Chrome UX Report for real-world speed data. We don’t put personal data into the questions we send.
What we don’t do
- No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- One cookie: the sign-in session cookie, set only when you sign in.
- We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing.
Who handles it for us
These providers process data on our behalf, only to run the service:
- Vercel: hosts this website.
- Supabase (our database and authentication provider): stores the waitlist, accounts, checks and reports.
- Railway: runs the worker that performs audits.
- Resend: sends sign-in and invitation emails.
- OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Google: answer the buyer questions in an audit (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini); Anthropic may also review screenshots; Google provides Chrome UX Report data.
Some of them process data outside your country, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist and crawler-check records: until you ask us to delete them or we launch publicly.
- Accounts and audit reports: while you work with us, and until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. To do any of these, reply to any email we have sent you. We reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If the change matters to people on the waitlist or with an account, we email them.
